About us

Founded in 1983, Weston and Mendip Advanced Motorists’ Group has provided IAM RoadSmart courses for over 30 years.

Our team of accredited observers are passionate about raising driving standards and improving road safety across the region, and have helped hundreds of associates improve their skills and gain their advanced driving qualification.

Run by a small but enthusiastic committee, the group hosts a number of events and activities for the benefit of its members, including clubnights with a variety of guest speakers on motoring and non-motoring topics, group visits to places of interest (such as the Haynes Motor Museum) and club social evenings, including quizzes and skittles nights.

Clubnights take place on the third Tuesday of every month, and are held at Kewstoke Village Hall, Crookes Lane, Kewstoke, Weston-super-Mare, BS22 9XB, at 7.30 for an 8pm start.
